Melissa has been a stylist for over 10 years. She is a third generation salon professional and has always had a passion for hair. Her first salon opened in 2013 in an 800 sq. ft space with zero employees. Today, she owns a 5,500 sq. ft salon with over 30 employees. She truly has a passion for educating in a salon setting and has trained over 10 stylists in the last 5 years through her salon’s Associate Program. One of her greatest passions behind the chair is extensions. After doing them for almost 10 years, getting certified and working with  several methods, she realized there was a gap in the industry. And so, Sierra & Sage was born - a brand that exceeds quality standards, is ethically sourced, and represents & empowers women of all shapes an sizes!

Kenzie has always had an affinity for blonding, balayage, and all things LIVED IN. But most importantly, she loves creating multi-dimensional blends with extensions, which helps elevate her artistic freedom. Offering hand tied extensions to her clients has transformed her career because she has been able to influence her clients confidence by helping them get hair results they didn’t think they could achieve. She loves educating and being able to see the spark ignite in fellow stylists, not only for their career but for their clients.

Emily both operates and manages our digital communication platforms. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a degree in Journalism emphasizing in Public Relations, Communications and Social Media. Her passion for hair comes from working at Melissa’s salon in Reno, NV during college and being an extension client herself! She currently lives in the Greater Bay Area and travels with our education team for in-person classes to capture all the beauty and fun with her camera. She loves having the opportunity to share her marketing insight with stylists around the globe.

Julia was born and raised in Reno and is currently studying Journalism with an emphasis in Advertising at Colorado State University. She found her love for the hair extension industry when she became a client of the Sierra & Sage method and later worked in Melissa's salon. Julia helps network with hairstylists and salons, while assisting with creating marketing materials. She has newly relocated to Denver, Colorado and will serve as our full-time sales & marketing support specialist. Her role is to share the brand and mission while creating salon and stylist relationships. Julia visit salons in the Denver area as well as surrounding states in hope to build lasting relationships with stylists. She loves to share the values and quality of the brand to those in the hair industry while creating connections.

Dani is a third generation hairstylist with 13 years of experience, specializing in vibrant red transformations and technical hair cutting. She has been a part of the Sierra & Sage Education Team since it began in 2020. She originally traveled with our education team as a lead educator teaching in person classes. However, she has redirected her focus solely on our digital students and currently resides in rural Montana.

Emma’s passion for the hair industry runs in the family and has only grown since being an extension client with Melissa. She graduated from Gonzaga University with a degree in Communication Studies, and with over 5 years of experience, she now serves as a full-time Sales & Marketing Support Specialist. Through her passion for sales and marketing, she finds empowerment when creating personal connections with stylists in the Nevada/California area. She is always available and happy to help each of her stylists to make working behind the chair even easier. Emma loves getting to represent the quality and mission of Sierra and Sage throughout her region and surrounding states, hoping to bring confidence to all women.
