Seamless Weft vs. Express Weft: Understanding the Difference

Trying to decide between our Seamless Weft and our Express Weft? Both provide the luxury quality Sierra & Sage is known for, but they're designed for different needs. The Express Weft provides the convenience of a volume weft, while also solving the issues we’ve experienced with traditional volume wefts. Here's a breakdown to help you choose the right weft every time!

The Similarities

Both the Seamless and the Express wefts are 100% human remy hair, double drawn, cuticle aligned, and are never processed with silicones or acids. Both wefts are cuttable anywhere along the seam without unraveling, and are designed without a hair return ("mustache") for a natural-looking result that’s comfortable against the scalp.

The Biggest Difference: Grams per Pack

Seamless:

Our Seamless Wefts come with two pre-cut wefts per pack.

• 18": 40-45g per pack (about 21g per weft)

• 22": 55-60g per pack (about 28g per weft)

Because each weft is lightweight, you'll need to stack multiple wefts on each row to build the necessary density. Most full installs require 2–4 packs of Seamless Wefts, depending on the amount of length and volume you're creating.

Express:

The Express Weft is designed to simplify extension installs. Each pack comes with one pre-stacked weft that's ready to install straight out of the bag!

• 18": 80–85g per pack and per weft

• 22": 100–105g per pack and per weft

Instead of stacking and brick-laying multiple wefts yourself, we've already done the work for you! The Express Weft is four Seamless Wefts fused together, with corners that taper down to just two Seamless Wefts with room to trim for extra customization. That means no bulky or "flapping" corners–just a smooth, comfortable install.

You only need one Express Weft per row, making it easy to achieve a full transformation with just 1–2 packs of hair!

Reversible Shades

While our Seamless Wefts include one single shade per pack, each Express Weft features two complementary shades.

For example, our Chocolate Brunette Express Weft features a solid brunette on one side and a brunette balayage on the other. Simply choose which side faces up depending on your client's current color or hair goal! It's like getting two color options in one weft, giving you even more flexibility with your extensions.
